The Institute of Road Transport Engineers has established a Scholarship Fund to provide financial assistance to members (or any other person approved by the Council) to further their knowledge and technical expertise in matters associated with Road Transport in as much as this meets the aims of the Institute, and provide a resource for information for distribution to the Institute's members. This may include:

• attending conferences, seminars or short courses
• field trips to engineering and or production facilities
• tertiary courses on engineering/transport related subjects
