This year, IRTENZ hosted the HVTT14 International Symposium on behalf of the International Forum for Road Transport Technology (IFRTT).
The first of these international symposia was held in Kelowna, British Columbia in 1986. Since then subsequent symposia were held in Canada, USA, UK, Netherlands, Australia, France and Sweden but more recently also in South Africa and Argentina. Initially the membership of IFRTT and the delegates to the conferences were primarily from North America, Europe and Australasia. NZ is the smallest country to host the symposium, although at HVTT14 we had delegates attending from every continent on the planet.
This was a world class event and we look forward to the next event to be held in Brisbane in 2023, in association with the Truck Show.
